The race has officially come to an end, with the last riders crossing the finish line this morning around 10:30 am.
After days of riding across Patagonia, the official podium was announced today at 6 pm, marking the conclusion of this first edition.
The Vet Award goes to the South African team — Wiesman, Mariaan, Jaco, and Louis — for the outstanding care of their horses and the exceptional condition they returned in.
Marcos Petersen was named the “Martín Fierro” of the race, in recognition of his spirit, resilience, and companionship throughout the journey.
3rd place goes to Callie and Tobby Coles riding horses from Jakob von Plessen. Although Callie and Tobby were among the first to cross the finish line, their placement reflects the accumulation of small penalties received throughout the race, which were taken into account in the final ranking.
2nd place goes to Gillian, riding two Criollos from San Antonio y La Pulperia.
1st place goes to Alfonsina, Santiago, and Andres, with Alfonsina and Santiago riding horses from Estancia La Perseverancia, and Andres riding his own horses.
This race has been defined by partnership, endurance, and respect for the horses.
We are deeply grateful for this first edition, a beautiful experience filled with lessons, stories, and unforgettable moments.
We already look forward to what next year will bring.
