The race continues to intensify as riders move deeper into the course. The lead group is making strong progress toward Checkpoint 4. At the front, Toby, Callie, Santiago, Alfonsina, Andres, and Mateo are riding closely together, maintaining a steady and controlled pace.
Just 6 km behind, Gillian and Ozbe continue their chase, keeping the leaders within reach.
Further back, the next group — Wiesman, Leo, Louis, Jaco, and Mariaan — reached a compulsory stop at 14:00. Riders are not allowed to continue past this point after that time, as the upcoming high mountain section does not offer any safe place to camp. They are now waiting to continue in the next riding window.
Around one hour behind, the group made up of Daisy and Liam, along with Robin, continues to move steadily across the terrain and is now camping together out.
All remaining riders are currently spending the night at Checkpoint 3, including Lexy, Nour, Sofia, Nadia, Isabel, Chloe, Natasha, Marguerite and Mary, Mariano and Marguerita, Marcos, and Emma.
Due to changing weather conditions, the race is currently on hold. Further updates will be shared around 10:00 am tomorrow.
With riders now spread across multiple sections of the course and key timing rules coming into play, the race is entering a more strategic phase where decisions around pace and positioning will be critical.
