I have been riding all my life but for more than a decade now I’ve been working as a horseback safari guide in Kenya and Argentina. I spend all day on horseback and sleep most nights at their side whilst they’re tied to a tree or a picket line. I adore wildlife and wild places and there is no finer way to see both than from the back of a horse.

Riding the Pass of Tears will be a chance to experience the wilderness on my own terms. Normally, I am followed by a herd of guests on horseback who require lots of looking after and I rely on a large team to prepare our camps and oversee the horses. I’m looking forward to being out in the mountains (almost) alone and, all being well, responsible only for myself, my teammate and our horses.
